Log Panel¶
The Log Panel is where all system log messages appear.
In the Log Panel, you can review:
- Message – The actual log message
- Sender – The device or system that generated the message
- Type – The type of device that sent the message
- Time – The date and time the log message was generated
Actions (right-click)¶
Right-click inside the Log Panel to:
- Clear the log
- Save the log as a .txt file for later review
Typical Log Messages¶
Network & IP Warnings¶
Warning! Double IP addresses detected on the network¶
Two devices are using the same IP address. This can cause network conflicts and must be resolved.
Warning! Double IDs detected on the network¶
Two devices share the same device ID. Adjust the configuration to ensure unique IDs.
Detected, but unreachable¶
A network item has been detected via ArtPoll but is not reachable within the current subnet.
Adjust the network settings of your device or computer so they are within the same subnet.
Detected¶
A device has been detected on the network.
Device & Connection Status¶
Detected Slave / Lost Slave¶
A slave node has connected to or disconnected from the network.
Detected dmXLAN F!X Application / Lost dmXLAN F!X Application¶
The dmXLAN F!X application has appeared or disappeared from the network.
Lost RDM Device¶
An RDM device is no longer detected on the DMX line.
Universe Back to Normal¶
A universe that previously reported an issue has returned to normal operation.
Network Loop & Redundancy¶
Loop is Back¶
The network loop has been restored. Your redundant link is functioning again.
Loop Failed¶
The network loop has failed. Possible causes:
- Broken cable
- Loose connection
- Configuration error
Port & Connection Messages¶
Port is connected (1GB)¶
Indicates that a port on a switch is active and running at 1GB link speed.
The Sender column shows which device this refers to. If aliases are configured, these will also appear.
Port is disconnected¶
A previously connected port has lost its link.
Port Backup OK¶
DMX backup is functioning correctly.
Port Backup Failed¶
DMX backup has failed. The connection to the backup line may be lost.
DMX Port Sensing Messages¶
Available only on NodeGBx8 and NodeGBx8 Slave models.
Port Terminated¶
Port sensing has detected DMX termination on the port.
Short Circuit on port¶
A short circuit has been detected on the port.
Pin 1 & 3 Short Circuit on port¶
A short circuit between pins 1 and 3 has been detected.
Pin 2 & 3 Short Circuit on port¶
A short circuit between pins 2 and 3 has been detected.
Low Voltage on port¶
Voltage is too low.
High Voltage on port¶
Voltage is too high.
Voltage Changed on port¶
A significant voltage change has been detected.
Line changed (Open)¶
An open circuit has been detected (e.g., disconnected or damaged cable).
Universe & Sender Warnings¶
WARNING! Multiple Senders¶
Multiple devices (e.g., lighting consoles) are transmitting the same universe.
WARNING! sACN Number of Senders does not match¶
The number of sACN senders detected does not match the configured sender properties.
Warning! sACN Universe Priority is higher than the defined tolerated value¶
The sACN universe priority exceeds the maximum allowed value configured in the application settings.
